R. of Milstead, 1789-1819, and of Frinsted from 1787. 'A most amiable person and an excellent scholar, suffered a family living to devolve on his brother in preference to an acceptance of antichristian confessions of faith as the condition of the tenure'. Married, 1789, Sarah, dau. of Thomas Thurston, of Willesborough. Assumed the name of Pattenson in compliance with the will of his wife's kinsman, William Pattenson. Died in 1819.
