Married Frances, dau. of William Barnard, of Deptford Green, Aug. 4, 1828. Founded the Parochial Association in Hampstead in aid of the S.P.G. Society, 1845, and the Church Extension Association, 1858. An energetic parish priest and poor-law guardian; helped to found schools and a dispensary; enlarged his church and promoted the building of new churches in the district around Hampstead.
