Foster: Richards, William, pleb. All Souls' Coll., matric. 11 Apr 1660, BA 1663, chaplain, MA 1666; rector of Heythrop, Oxon, 1675, vicar of Reading St Giles, Berks, 1678, and archdeacon of Berks 1689, and of Salisbury 1694; died 4 Oct 1712, aged 69. See Foster's Index Eccl.
Foster is incorrect about Richards being archdeacon of Salisbury as Joseph Kelsey succeeded Thomas Lambert in 1694(OS) and served until 1710.
The liber cleri record for Chadlington says that Richards is of All Souls; as far as I can see in Foster this is the only Richards of All Souls in this period. But that would mean that he was serving as curate before being priested.
