Warden of Farley Hospital and C. of West Grimstead and Plaitford, Wilts., 1822-32. V. of Brixworth, Northants., 1832-73. Married and had issue. Author, The Human Hand and Other Poems; A Treatise on the Origin of Pleasure and Delight in the Human Mind, especially as relating to the Faculty of Taste, and the Sublime and Beautiful; Introduction to Geology; Clerical Subscription, an appeal to Clergy and Laity; History of the Basilican Church of Brixworth; A Scientific and General Vindication of the Mosaic History of the Creation, etc. Formed a collection of cretaceous fossils, some of which are in the British Museum.
