Not found in Venn or Foster, but as son of James, Episcopalian rector, Drumlithe, Kincardineshire, may well have been educated in Scotland.
Said to be the first of this family to move to Ulster where he appears to have been ordained by the Bishop of Raphoe and to have been rector of Cleenish in the dio. of Clogher in Fermanagh from 1663 to 1685 when he died.
