Foster: of Jersey; created M.A. from Christ Church 15 Dec., 1660, rector of Little Mongeham, Kent, 1661, of Sedgebrook, co. Lincoln, 1662, and of St. John's in Jersey 1662, dean of Jersey 1672.
Scion of an old established family in Jersey, he was instituted as rector of the derelict church of Little Mongeham in 1661 and to a mediety of the rectory of Sedgebrooke, Lincolnshire in 1662. He is noted as holding the former in visitations until 1677, and resigned from the latter in 1688. He succeeded his brother Phillippe as Dean of Jersey, in 1672 (CCEd ID 94095) and held the office until his death in 1714.
