Foster: of Middlesex, gent. New Coll., matric.—April, 1597, aged 18; B.A. 14 Oct., 1600, M.A. 12 June, 1604, B.D. 8 July, 1612 (son of John Bridges, D.D., bishop of Oxford), fellow of Winchester College, archdeacon of Oxford 1614, and canon of Lincoln 1618, until his death in 1626.
WB had died by 3 December 1624 (see Fasti Revised, ix. 108 and x. 39). The two entries for Lincoln in 1634 are clearly wrong.
