Ord. deacon (London) June 28; priest, June 29, 1601, age 28. C. of Thames Ditton, Surrey. R. of Southam, Warws., 1604; sequestered, c. 1642. Author of an Etymological Dictionary. According to D.N.B. (which does not mention his Cambridge career) he had been at Queen's College, Oxford, c. 1582; died Nov. 13, 1653, aged 87; and was buried at St Mary's, Warwick: dates which do not agree with his age at ordination.
Noted as constituted to serve cure of Thames Ditton, Surrey, when ordained in May and June 1601.
